This portfolio represents my work at the University of Denver from 2007-2018, with emphasis on 2014-2018 as the period under review for my promotion to Teaching Full Professor. My application for promotion will be evaluated based on teaching (60%), service (30%), and scholarship (10%). I hope this website effectively illustrates my performance in all three categories and my commitment to the Writing Program and the University.

I was drawn to these vessels on display at the British Museum. They reminded me of the Marge Piercy poem “To Be Of Use,” which represents my philosophy quite well.
